The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named the NCAA Division I men's and women's academic All-American teams and individuals for the 2008-2009 school year recently.

The B-CU women's team was named to the ITA acdemic honor teams list (for teams with 3.20 or higher -GPA on a 4.0 scale). It was the fourth academic award for B-CU's women's team in the past five years.

Five B-CU individuals also earned All-ITA academic honors (3.5 GPA or higher), Eva Hankova, Stacey Lopez, Monika Musilova, Jeneice Ward, and Kristofer Martin.

"I am very proud of how well our women's team did academically again in 2008-2009, " said B-CU Head Tennis Coach Trey Bogue.  "And Kristofer Martin for the men's team earning All-ITA Academic honors and Eva (Hankova), Stacey (Lopez), Monika (Musilova), and Jeneice (Ward) - all doing well, getting it done in the class room and on the court for us last season.  We take pride in our academics at B-CU and they all did very well. To be honored by the ITA is a good accomplishment for our tennis program."
