Freshman Year 2007-08: Honored as a member of the MEAC All-Rookie Team...Played extensively in all 30 games, starting 28 at the guard position, averaging 29.6 minutes per game...Second on the team in scoring and scoring average... Led all Lady Wildcats in steals with 84 on the season... Also led the team in assists...Averaged 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3 steals per game in 2007-08...Had her best games against Florida A & M (12/1/07), scoring 21 points, grabbing 7 steals, and 3 rebounds; also against South Carolina State (3/1/08), scoring 19 points, grabbing 6 steals and 4 rebounds, while making 3 assists...Finished the season ranked 24th in the MEAC in scoring, 12th in assists, and 4th in steals.
High School: 2004-05, helped her team to a 20-2 record and the GMAC Championship... 2005-06, led her team to a 29-2 record and another GMAC Championship...2006-07, her team went 21-6 and won the District Championship and was named team MVP for the season...4-year varsity letterwinner in basketball... 3-year varsity letterwinner in track... Participated in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game...Participated in the Junior Orange Bowl All-Star Game...Named to the All-Dade 1st Team...2007, placed 3rd in the state in the high jump and was named the team MVP...Outside of athletics, Demetria had over 300 volunteer hours at the Northwest Boys & Girls Club of Miami.
Personal: The angel of Derrick Frank and Donna Howard...Born November 19, 1989... Demetria said she chose B-CU because, "It is a great university with a promising future in athletics."...Her athletic goal while at B-CU is to leave the program better than when she came in, and to help lead her team to a higher stage than ever...Demetria's biggest influence are her parents because their hard work and dedication to their profession stirs her to strive for the best and their words of encouragement always help...Her career goal is to serve her community and make it better...Demetria is the first person in her family to go to college.
