2006 (Redshirt Freshman)...

Saw action in all 11 games as a starting offensive lineman for Bethune-Cookman • Helped to pave the way for an offensive unit that racked up 1,469 yards of rushing offense on the year • Was instrumental in Bethune-Cookman collecting three rushing touchdowns against Savannah State in Daytona Beach--the first home game of the year for the Wildcats • Helped the B-CU offensive line that blocked while two (2) quarterbacks led the charge with 2,230 passing yards on the campaign ... as well as 20 touchdowns • A candidate for the All-MEAC Team at the offensive lineman position • Key part of the blocking core that protected quarterbacks Jimmie Russell and Jarod Rucker as they combined for over 450+ yards of offense and five touchdowns against South Carolina State in the Low Country Classic in Charleston, S.C. • Key instrument in the Wildcats season-high 350-yard, five-touchdown rushing performance against North Carolina A&T on ESPNU • Helped block as B-CU passed for 304 yards against Delaware State • Registered four pancake blocks and three downfield blocks against Savannah State.

While at Columbus High School, Griffin played three seasons of football for head coach Chris Merritt • Helped the Explorers to a three-year record of 22-8 record from 2002-04 • Helped his squad in collecting District Championships in each year • Named as the Offensive Lineman MVP in 2004 • Collected the High School Sportsmanship award as a senior • Selected as an honorable mention for the All-Dade County squad along the offensive line • Held a GPA of 3.4 throughout his time at Christopher Columbus.

Ryan Griffin is the son of Rhonda Griffin • He was born to the world on Feb. 26, 1987 in his hometown of Miami, Fla. • His mother attended Florida A&M • Wants to be an elementary school teacher one day, as well as a coach in football • Has performed as a mime, and loves to sing in the choir as well as working with campus ministries • Helps to volunteer at the Parks and Recreation Department.
