Feb. 12, 2007 Orangeburg, S.C. (AP) - Josh Cummings hit a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left in overtime to help Bethune-Cookman to a 46-44 win over South Carolina State on Monday night. For the first time all season, the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman College collected back-to-back wins as they pulled off an incredible overtime road thriller from South Carolina State. Cummings scored all four points for the Wildcats (6-17, 4-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) in the extra period. He scored 17 points, hitting all 10 of his free throws. Bethune-Cookman led 36-31 with just over seven minutes to go, but the Bulldogs (9-15, 7-7) went on a 10-2 run to take a 41-38 lead with 1:24 left in regulation. The Wildcats would tie the game at 42 on a jumper by Aaron Nelson with 17 seconds to go in the second half. The game was low-scoring throughout. South Carolina State led 19-15 at half. Brian Mason and Jason Flagler each had nine points to lead the Bulldogs. Aaron Nelson added nine points for Bethune-Cookman.
