Final Stats

Fullerton, Calif. - Bobby Brown set a new school record for three-pointers (11) and points (47) en route to leading Cal State Fullerton to a decisive 94-65 victory over Bethune-Cookman College on Saturday at Titan Gymnasium in Fullerton, California.

B-CC (2-6), playing the last of their four-game west coast swing, trailed just 41-28 at the half, but Cal State Fullerton's (7-2) Bobby "LB" Brown had 20 of those halftime points.

In the second half, Brown scorched his way into the Cal State Fulleton record books as he pushed the Titans on a 24-9 run that expanded the lead out to 49-37 in just under six minutes. The Wildcats looked towards anyone who could stop Brown, including employing a quicker Jimmy Hudson and Damitrius Coleman on him.

Neither did the trick, however, as Brown continued his way past names such as Cedric Ceballos and Bruce Bowen--both NBA current and former players.

The `Cats did have some help on the offensive end, however, as Aaron Nelson and Hudson led the way in double figures. For Hudson, it was his seventh game this season in double-figure scoring, and his third in a row. As for Nelson, it was his fourth game in double figures on the campaign.

Cal State Fulleton led by as many as 36 when the Titans' Jarrel Lake put in a lay-up with exactly two minutes left in the contest.

Jimmy Hudson, coming into the game averaging just under three (3) three-pointers a game, hit his only three-point basket of the contest with 26 ticks left on the clock in the second half. That bucket cut the Titans lead down to 29 and the final margin of 94-65.

The Titans, as expected, were led on the night by Brown's 47 points--a record against a Cliff Reed coached team. Behind him was Frank Robinson with 11, and Kenneth Alexander squeaked into double-digits with 10. Robinson also led all players with seven assists.

Nelson led all Wildcat performers with 16 points and nine rebounds, just shy of a double-double. Hudson added 11 points of his own to assist the `Cats.

B-CC will now travel back east and try to get things back in order as they prepare for Savannah State on Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. in Savannah, Georgia. The `Cats will be looking to break their current five-game losing skid that averages a margin of defeat of 28.4 points per game.
