Peter O'Brien Selected For 2010 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team; Hits 2 HR at Trials Last WeekThe U.S. team will play a five-game series against Korea before squaring off against a Japanese Collegiate All-Star Team in a one-game, international friendship competition in Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium on July 21. From there, the team will travel to Taipei, Taiwan for a four-game series against Chinese Taipei at Tien-Mu Stadium beginning July 25. B-CU's MEAC Player of the Year catcher Peter O'Brien (20 HRs in 2010) will be one of two catchers on the USA national team. Juan Perez Picked In 18th Round of MLB Draft By RockiesJunior RHP Juan Perez was selected in the recent Major League Baseball draft by the Colorado Rockies in the 17th round. Perez, from Orlando's University High School and Central Florida Community College, played one season with the Wildcats and earned first team All-MEAC honors at both 2B and relief pitcher. [+]
