Cray Serves as Guide Runner at U.S. Paralympics Track ChampionshipsBethune-Cookman track & field's Eric Cray is headed out to the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships, set to begin June 18 at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar. Wildcats at NCAA Regional TrackThe Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman track & field closed out their season, Thursday, at the NCAA East Regional Track & Field Championships. The two Wildcats, Eric Cray and Ron Danielle Williams both competed on the opening day of the meet. Cray missed the mark to move to the next round by just a hair in the 400m hurdles, while Williams finished 48th in the shot put. [+] 5/28/10

Bethune-Cookman Student-Athletes Honored By MEACMEAC ANNOUNCES 2010 COMMISSIONER'S ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM 618 Student-Athletes Achieve 3.0 or Better Cumulative Grade Point Average VIRGINIA BEACH, VA., May 18, 2010 - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announces the 2010 Commissioner's All-Academic Team, recognizing 618 student-athletes from the conference's 12 member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2009-10 academic school year. The team honors student-athletes, including sophomores to seniors, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. "I am pleased to recognize 618 student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2009-10 school year," said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "In addition to these academic achievers, I applaud the athletic academic support staff and personnel, coaches, institutions, and parents for their contributions to success of these student-athletes." Wildcat Track Turns in Top Finishes at USF; Qualifies Two for NCAA RegionalOver this past weekend, the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman track & field took selected athletes to their last regular season event of the 2009-10 season, at the USF Twilight Invitational. B-CU was looking to add more athletes to the list of NCAA regional qualifiers with the last meet of the season. Coming out of the meet, the Wildcats have two performers that met the mark to go to the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C., Ron Danielle Williams and Eric Cray. [+]
